When the wax in traffic areas
begins to look dull or scratched it is time to apply a new coating. In
commercial establishments you may want to wax every two weeks, at least
until you have built up 6 coats or so. In a residence without dogs you
may not need to wax for 3 or 4 months. The wax is easy to apply and dries
in 30 minutes. However, it continues to cure and harden for three days.
Therefore, heavy traffic should be avoided on new wax for this length of
time.
NEVER APPLY MASKING OR DUCT TAPE TO YOUR FLOORS.
Faux Real applied two coats of
sealer and two coats of a high solids acrylic wax to most floors. Floors can be waxed by the homeowner when necessary according to written instructions which we provide to our clients.
NEVER USE AMMONIA OR BLEACH ON YOUR FLOORS.
It may turn the wax cloudy.
When pulled up later, it can remove 3 or 4 coatings from your floor.
