Good news this week we took the sides off of Kaidens crib so his bed is magically now a big boy bed. No problems and I still can store things underneath but I put a big pillow on the floor just in case. I hate Thomas the train obsession that hypnotizes children into craving anything made produced and with the appearance of Thomas and his friends.

I have a serious dilemma. I am IN LOVE with the crib Kaiden is sleeping in...It has tons of room underneath to shove all that stuff we don't use yet, the sides are convenient to prevent falling out during sleep, he only just started sleeping alone in the last couple months (we co-slept till he was two), and I personally decoupaged the entire thing by hand. I just have a really hard time comming to terms with the notion of getting a big boy bed. The only reason I am even toying with the idea is that as tiny as his room is I found space to cram a glider in between his crib and his changing table so we can read his two stories every nite instead of sitting on the floor. Since the chair was installed Kaidens climbing reflex has kicked in and he now scales the glider to get either into or out of bed and onto the changing table. Does the term unsteady climbing surface come into anyone elses mind when at 3 am he decides, half asleep mind you, to climb in bed with us??????It has not happened yet but it inevitably will. He is uncommonly balanced and careful but half asleep is my concern. I feel like I should line the floor with all of his stuffed animal and hope for a safe landing. For now he is still calling my name if wants to join us at nite...and I love the crib so much...if I take the glider away he will feel so trapped again,.......ahhhhhhhh

Kaiden is 2 years old and acually lets me work on the computer most days while he plays inndependantly. This blog is to mention the morememorable events in our everday activities. Kaiden climing in the one of the two cabnets to either side of the computer closing the door and yelling "Where's Kaiden" as a sort of hide and seek. Then he opens the door and I say "There's Kaiden" I usually work til 11am and h comes in and out asking for juice, diaper change, snacks etc. Roch and I are so lucky to have him...he is an awesome addition to our family.
